What are the properties of coconut husk?✅️ Compared to other typical natural fibers, coconut fiber has higher lignin and lower cellulose and hemicellulose, together with its high microfibrillar angle, offers various valuable properties, such as resilience, strength, and damping, wear, resistance to weathering, and high elongation at break.

Coir Coir is the name given to the fibrous material that constitutes the thick mesocarp (middle layer) of the coconut fruit (Cocos nucifera). The husk of the coconut contains approximately 75 per cent fibre and 25 per cent fine material, the so-called 'coir pith'.
